Gary Latham is pleased to announce that he is a finalist in  the  Pink Lady Food Photographer Of The Year 2023. The Finalist images will be included in the exhibition at the Royal Photographic Society in Bristol.

 

 

Reindeer image comes up trumps in the 'International Maria Luisa - Mountain, Nature and Adventure Photo and Video Contest, 2022/23

Honourable Mention/Highly Commended Award for his image, 'Reindeer Migration on Sacred Mountain, Heading into a Snowstorm.'

 
The jury, after evaluating the 17,035 photographs which were submitted to the contest by 1328 registered photographers from 83 countries, has been reviewing those photographs that proved to be the technically most valuable and the most visually striking, resulting in a set of really memorable images.
Fifteen major awards and nine honorable mentions for each of the fifteen categories that have made the contest. Among them, Rayo sobre Turret Arch, de Luis Vilariño López (ES), has been highlighted. In addition to winning the Nature Landscapes category, it has been awarded the absolute prize 33 Memorial Maria Luisa, Fundación Cajastur Grand Prix. Among young photographers, under nineteen years of age, the prize went to Nichole Vijayan (CA).
We would like to announce that Photographer, Gary Latham is the recipient of an Honourable Mention - Highly Commended Award for his image, 'Reindeer Migration on Sacred Mountain, Heading into a Snowstorm.'

Well this one came out of the blue! I hadn't even been aware of this competition at all until Mark Sansom the editor of Food And Travel magazine entered one of my images as his favorite image of the year. So shocked and also very pleased to be awarded the runners up spot in the 'Photography Behind The Scenes' category in this years, Event Photography Awards.

Here's my winning image, shot on location for Food And Travel Magazine at the very beautiful Belle Monte Farm Estate, Kititian Hill in St Kitts, where they run a farm to table policy with the help and co-operation of local people.
